Free prize draw
Our contractor, Aaron Services, will contact you to arrange appointments when your property is due a gas safety check – including boiler servicing – or electrical tests.
If they are able to access your property on the first appointment date and time they agree with you, they will enter your household into a free prize draw. If your appointment is for both gas appliance servicing and electric tests, you will be entered into a separate prize draw for each.
Terms and conditions
Terms and conditions of the free prize draw are as follows:
- to be entered into the prize draw the property must be accessed on the first appointment within the specified month, either for electrical tests or for gas appliances to be serviced
- if the first appointment needs to be re-scheduled by the resident, at least 48 hours’ notice must be given to Aaron Services to change the appointment date and qualify for a first time access
- the draw will take place on the 15th of every month for the previous months' first-time accessed properties
- all properties where either a gas appliance service or electrical test has been completed on the first appointment will be entered into the draw
- Aaron Services will add a £1 to the prize fund for every property they have accessed on a first appointment – the prize fund will be capped at £250 for gas appliance servicing and £100 for electrical tests
- the prize will be given to the resident as a Love2shop voucher
- the prize will be hand-delivered to the resident, who will need to sign that they have received it
- Aaron Services will phone the resident to confirm whether they have won – if they cannot make contact, a letter will be sent to the property, after which if there no response has been received within 7 working days, the draw will be made again with the remaining properties
- the draw will be taken using a random number generator – this will be done at monthly management meetings with staff members present from both Thurrock Council and Aaron Services
