Apprenticeships

Become an apprentice

Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged 16 or over living in England and not taking part in full-time education. Whether you're just leaving school or college, or just want to try something new, an apprenticeship could be for you.

Apprenticeships provide on-the-job-training – typically 4 days a week in work and 1 day a week in college. You'll earn while you learn, getting valuable workplace experience and studying for a nationally-recognised qualification.

Entry requirements are flexible because apprenticeships aren't just based on academic achievement. Practical skills count and so does your interest in the area of work you've chosen.
