Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 14th November 2024 the order will come in to force on the 25th November 2024.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

1. To revoke “Resident Permit Parking Bays “Permit Holders Only (Zone P2) from Mon-Fri 10am-3pm” at the locations specified below: -

1. On London Road, north side, from a point 20 metres west of its junction with Linnet Way for a distance of 23 metres in a westerly direction.
2. On London Road, north side, outside of No. 1 to 16 Riverview Flats.
3. On London Road, southern side, from the eastern flank wall of No 7 Southland Terrace to the eastern flank of No 8 Sussex Terrace.
4. On London Road, southern side, outside No. 1 to Nos. 2/3 Sussex Terrace
5. On London Road, southern side, outside of the properties No. 4 to 8 Riverview Terrace.
6. On London Road, southern side, from a point 75m northwest of the western boundary line of the Purfleet-on-Thames railway station carpark in a north westerly direction for a distance of 22m.
7. On London Road from a point 8.5 metres northern of the north-western building line of No. 1 Botany Terrace for a distance of 25.5 metres in a north-westerly direction
8. On London Road from a point 39 metres north-west of the north-western building line of No1 Botany Terrace for a distance of 25 metres in a north-westerly direction.
9. On High Street, northern side, outside the properties of No. 1 to 5 High Street.

2. To revoke “Limited Waiting Bay Mon-Sat 10am-4pm,3 hours, no return within 4 hours” at the locations specified below: -

1. On London Road, south side, outside No. 10 Riverview Terrace

3.     To revoke “Limited waiting 2hrs no return within 4hrs”

1. On London Road, south side, outside the property No. 3 Riverview Terrace

4. To introduce Resident Permit Parking Bays “Permit Holders Only (Zone P2) Mon-Sun 08.00am - Midnight” at the locations specified below: -

1. On London Road, north side, from a point 25m west of its junction with Linnet Way for a distance of 19 metres in a westerly direction.
2. On London Road, north side, from a point 1.5m east of the eastern property wall of 1 Riverview Flats in a westerly direction for a distance of 53.5m.
3. On London Road, southern side, from the eastern flank of No. 7 Southland Terrace to the eastern flank of No. 8A Sussex Terrace.
4. On London Road southern side, from a point 1m east from the common boundary of no 10 Riverview Terrace to the common boundary of No. 2 and 3 Sussex Terrace.
5. On London Road, southern side, from the common boundary of No. 3 and 4A Riverview Terrace to the common boundary of 9 and 10 Riverview Terrace.
6. On London Road, northern side, from a point 8.5 metres north-west of the western flank wall of No. 1 Botany Terrace for a distance of 25.5 metres in a north-westerly direction.
7. On London Road, northern side, from a point 39 metres north-west of the north-western building line of No. 1 Botany Cottages for a distance of 25 metres in a north-westerly direction.
8. On High Street, northern side, from a point 1.5m northwest of the eastern property wall of No.1 in a westerly direction to a point 2 metres west of the common boundary wall of No’s 4 and 5 High Street. 
9. On High Street, northern side, from a point 2.4m northwest from the common boundary of No. 6 and 7 High Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres.

5. To introduce Limited Waiting Bay Mon-Sun 8am-10pm,3 hours, no return within 4 hours, at the locations specified below: -

1. On London Road, southern side, from the common boundary of No. 9 and 10 Riverview Terrace to a point 1meter east of the eastern flank of No. 10 Riverview Terrace and 1 Sussex Terrace.
2.      On London Road, south side, outside the property No. 3 Riverview Terrace

6. To introduce “No Waiting at Any Time” at the locations specified below: -

1. On London Road, southern side, from a point 75m northwest of the western boundary line of the Purfleet-on-Thames railway station carpark in a north westerly direction for a distance of 22m.
2. On London Road, northern side, from a point 20 m of the western kerbline of Linnet Way junction, for a distance of 5 m in a westerly direction
3. On London Road, northern side, from the eastern flank wall of No 1 Riverview Flats, for a distance of 1.5 m in a westerly direction.
4. On High Street, northern side, from the eastern flank wall of No. 6, in an easterly direction, for a distance of 2.5 metres.

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
