Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 ,32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 9 May 2024, the order will come in to force on 30 May 2024.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to:

a) revoke Limited Waiting Bay "Mon-Fri 8.00am-6.00pm 2 Hour stay, no return within 2 hours" on the road(s) specified below:

i. on the north side of Arthur Street, from a point 8m west the west kerb line of Arthur Street, Gipsy Lane and A126 Broadway junction, west for a distance of 15m

b) introduce Limited Waiting Bay "Mon-Fri 8.00am-6.00pm 2 Hour stay, no return within 2 hours" on the road(s) specified below:

i. on the east side of Gypsy Lane, from a point 5m north of the south property wall of 1 to 10 Trasa Court in a south direction for a distance of 10m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Delivery team by phoning 01375 652 652 during normal office hours, or via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
