Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Cement Block Cottages, Towers Road and Crescent Avenue, Grays

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the east side of Cement Block Cottages, from a point 10m north of the north kerb line of Broadway in a north direction to a point opposite the north boundary wall of 11 Cement Block Cottages
ii. Towers Road, the southwest corner of the circulatory route, the north side from the tangent point of the north kerb line of Towers Road, in a northwest direction to the tangent point of the east kerbline of Towers Road west arm
iii. Towers Road, the north section of the circulatory route, the south side from the tangent point of the east kerbline of Towers Road west arm, north, east and then south to the tangent point of the west kerb line of Towers Road east arm
iv. the south arm of Crescent Avenue on the north side from a point 4m west of the common boundary wall of 18 and 20 Crescent Avenue following the kerb line in a northwest direction to a point of 10m south of the north property wall of 20 Crescent Avenue
v. the south arm of Crescent Avenue on the south side from the east property wall of 1 Crescent Avenue following the kerb line in an east direction for a distance of 5m
vi. the south arm of Crescent Avenue on the north side from the east property wall of 2 Crescent Avenue following the kerb line in an east direction for a distance of 5m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery team via [email protected] – those who are unable to email can phone 01375 652 652.

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 17 October 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
