Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
The Borough of Thurrock (A126 Marshfoot Road) (24 Hour Clearway)
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 17th October 2024 the order will come in to force on the 7th November 2024.
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new 24 Hour Clearway “No Stopping on the carriageway, verges and footways” at the following location:
a) A126, Marshfoot Road, in both directions and along its entire length of adopted highway, from its junction with Rookery Lane, Grays through to the Roundabout junction with B149 Chadwell Bypass, Chadwell Hill and St Chads Road
b) A126, Marshfoot Road, in both directions and along its entire length of adopted highway from its junction with A1089 Dock Approach Road to its junction with A126, Marshfoot Road.
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via [email protected]. 4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
