Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)
No waiting at any time
Alexander Close and Godman Road, Chadwell St Mary
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 , 32, 34 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").
2) The general effect of the Order would be:
a) to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:
i. at the junction of Alexander Close and Godman Road
ii. on the south side of Godman Road, from a point 1m northeast of the east flank wall of 176 Godman Road following the kerb line in a southwest then northwest direction to a point 8m northwest the common boundary wall of 168 and 170 Godman Road
b) to restrict parking only on the carriage way thereby permitting exemptions on the adjacent hard standing area to enable vehicles to park in the following locations:
i. on the south side of Godman Road, from a point 4m southwest of the east flank wall of 176 Godman Road following the kerb line in a southwest direction to the shared property boundary wall of 172 and 174 Godman Road
ii. on the south side of Godman Road, from a point 2m southeast of the shared property boundary wall of 168 and 170 Godman Road following the kerb line in a northwest direction to a point 3m northwest of the shared property boundary wall of 168 and 170 Godman Road
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices
4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 29 February 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
