Remembrance Services took place across the borough, including a ceremony which took place at Grays War Memorial on Sunday 10 November which saw wreaths laid in honour of those who have served.
Organised by the Royal British Legion, the service brings together veterans and dignitaries as a crowd of hundreds join in marking Remembrance Day.
Thurrock Council was represented by Cllr Kairen Raper, Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr John Kent, Leader of Thurrock Council, Cllrs Lyn Worrall, Cabinet member for Overall Change and Improvement Agenda, Cllr Val Morris-Cook, Cabinet member for Community Partnerships, Cllrs Tony Fish and Martin Kerrin, Grays Riverside Ward, and Dr Dave Smith, Chief Executive of Thurrock Council. Thurrock MP Jen Craft also attended and laid a wreath.
Services also took place at memorials throughout Thurrock, including Aveley, Tilbury, South Ockendon, North Stifford, Chafford and Bulphan.
