Mobile Advertising Vehicle
I have a mobile advertising vehicle which I intend to bring into your local area. Can you please:
1. Advise whether there are any restrictions, permits or permission we would need to advertise in your borough.
2. The name and contact details of the cabinet holder for community safety in the authority
3. The local strategy to apply the serious violence duty per the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (“the PCSC Act”).
4. The data that informs on the number of knife and gun crime incidents the borough had to address between March 2021 and March 2022.
5. The data that informs on the number of knife and gun crime incidents the borough had to address between March 2022 and March 2023.

- Advise whether there are any restrictions, permits or permission we would need to advertise in your borough – Thurrock Council does not implement restrictions, or issue permits or provide permission regarding advertising in Thurrock. We enforce advertising in contravention of regulations.
- The name and contact details of the cabinet holder for community safety in the authority Cllr Andrew Jefferies Leaders Office – [email protected]
- The local strategy to apply the serious violence duty per the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 (“the PCSC Act”) – This will be an Essex wide strategy being formulated currently by the Essex Violence and Vulnerability Unit.
- The data that informs on the number of knife and gun crime incidents the borough had to address between March 2021 and March 2022 – Please see attached data from Oct 2020 to September 2021in relation to knife crime. Please note gun crime is only available at force wide level.
- The data that informs on the number of knife and gun crime incidents the borough had to address between March 2022 and March 2023 – Annual data is available publicly at Community Safety Partnership strategic assessment Strategic assessments run from October to September annually. This is police data and any further data requests would need to be made to them. Data from March 2023 will be published after 1 April 2024.
