Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act") and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new 24 Hour Clearway "No Stopping on the carriageway, verges and footways" at the following locations:

i. A1013 Stanford Road, in both directions, from the north property boundary wall of 44 Stanford Road in a northeast direction to its junction with the A128/Orsett Cock Roundabout
ii. Treetops Approach, in both directions, for its entire length
iii. Farm Lane, in both directions, from its junction with Treetops Approach in an east direction for a distance of 20m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery team via [email protected] – those who are unable to email can phone 01375 652 652.

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to [email protected] to arrive on or before 17 October 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
